On 11th of October 2007 the new 650 square metre Vintage Wineworx Barrel Room and Logistics Centre was officially opened by doyen wine-writer and wine judge, James Halliday.

The total facility now occupies over 1500 square metres, with the capacity to crush 1000 tonnes and make over 700,000 litres of premium wine. With the barrel room capacity to house over 1000 oak barrels, in optimum conditions, and a dedicated client storage logistics area stretching over 500 square metres.

The opening of the new facility by such an esteemed industry figure is an undeniable signal that the winery has successfully completed its metamorphosis from the original Porongurup Winery, into a sought-after contract winery. With an award-winning vineyard client roster now spanning the southwest region - from the Great Southern to Manjimup and Pemberton to Margaret River and inland to Lake Grace.

A new mark of excellence embodied in technology, facility resources and the esteemed management and winemaking team led by Senior Winemaker Mr Greg Jones.

But the story of the Vintage Wineworx doesn’t stop or indeed begin in the winery and its talented, hi-technology heart. It is born in the vineyard, rooted in the passionate embrace of ‘terroir' and the pinnacle of viticultural 'best practice'.

This is what really separates the Vintage Wineworx from the pack of wineries who offer contract winemaking.

A passion for quality winemaking from the "ground up" that sees our winemaking team intrinsically entwined with each client's vineyard and fruit management. So much so that we have our own viticulture team available to work with our clients vineyards - right through to providing state-of-the-art 'harvesting' technology and supervised fruit transport to the winery.

We call it "The Worx". With every service from vineyard to winery, encompassed in one unique, easy to manage and cost-effective premium winemaking package.

Over the following pages you'll discover how this "vine to the wine" philosophy and 'modus operandi' will efficiently work to create premium specialty wines for your brand.

The Vintage Wineworx is now set for further expansion, having received a substantial upgrade of its already-ultra-modern facilities, with more groundbreaking advancements in production processes, including a new Italian made Fimer bottling line, which can bottle 1200 bottles per hour. Now fully self-containing the total winemaking and packaging operation within the winery, for one good reason. Quality.

So, welcome to the Vintage Wineworx and what we believe is the perfect partner to the premium, independent vineyards of South Western Australia.
